Terms and Conditions

Bookings:

As soon as a request for a place is acknowledged in writing, in compliance with “The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations, 1992”, a contract exists between Hants & Dorset Christian Youth Camps, c/o the Administrator for H&DCYC and the parent or guardian of the young person wishing to attend the holiday.

Holiday contents:

The price includes; accommodation under canvas, and three meals a day for the period set out in the brochure, together with all activities for Explorer and Discovery camps. No activities are included in Inheritance camp.

Cancellation:

You may cancel your holiday by notifying the Booking administrator in writing or by email. In this event monies paid will be returned to you less the deposit fee. There will be no refund for cancellations within four weeks of the start of each holiday. If H&DCYC cancel a holiday due to unforeseen circumstances outside our control, we guarantee to refund any fees already paid, in compliance with directive EC 90/314.

Final payment must be made on or before 31st May (or in full if booking after 1st May). If payment is not made by the due date, we reserve the right to reallocate your place and return any monies paid less the deposit fee.

Supervision and safety:

We undertake that the leaders on the camps will, for the duration of the holiday, exercise reasonable care in looking after the young person attending the holiday. Any activities are carried out under qualified supervision, where required. This may be through our own leaders or by leaders hired at a centre and accompanied by our own. All activities are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or changed without notice. H&D has a Safeguarding Policy and all leaders are subject to this.

Participation in the entire camp programme is expected.

Photographs:

Photographs of group activities may be taken by H&D for publicity use. They will not be made available to any third party. No photographs of individuals or close-up portraits will be taken or used without obtaining permission.

Unacceptable behaviour:

Anyone who, in the opinion of the leaders responsible for the Holiday, grossly misbehaves, or ignores the restrictions on smoking, alcohol or drugs, will be sent home. Immediate collection from the holiday would be the responsibility of, and at the expense of, the parent/guardian. They will also be required to pay for any deliberate and wilful damage caused by their child. Campers who are sent home because of their behaviour will receive no refund.
